> Goal: Flesh out §12-backlog item #2 (sustainability economics & health
> metrics) into a full section of `docs/maker-platform-strategy.md`, in the
> doc's voice (strategic memo, OHM-grounded), then renumber/cross-ref and
> update the backlog.
> Outcome: Done + merged (PR #7). New §12 "Sustainability economics & health
> metrics" written; backlog → §13. Two operator-requested additions also
> landed: a §7 "Partner / consultant network" subsection and an illustrative
> revenue-by-maker-band table in §12.
## Launch prompt
`/goal` launch: Flesh out backlog item #2 of the maker platform strategy —
sustainability economics & health metrics — into a full section of
`docs/maker-platform-strategy.md`, in the doc's voice (strategic memo, not a
rollout doc; OHM-grounded per the top-of-file note). Cover: unit economics
(referral take + subscription vs. cost base → break-even maker count);
"non-profit ≠ needn't cover costs" (vs §7 501(c)(3)/volunteer/LLM-deflated eng,
§11 UBIT flag); network-health/liquidity metrics (North Star + leading
indicators, tied to §9 qualitative gates + §7 cross-merchant order-history
asset); volunteer-sustainability economics (the §4 single-point-of-failure —
what the model must fund to keep the critical core off bus-factor-one). Then
renumber/cross-ref and update the §12 backlog.
## Plan
> Anchor: the doc's own §12 backlog item #2 (strategy-memo authoring, not a
> Solution-Design spec bound for `specs/`; no Gitea tracker issue. R1 /
> spec-submission machinery N/A — deliverable is a new section of the existing
> `docs/maker-platform-strategy.md` in this content repo).
> Posture: careful (per-type default). `/goal` launch → review boundaries held
> with blocking operator questions; no named yolo override in launch prompt.
Brainstorming session to develop the **Sustainability economics & health
metrics** section: (1) read the memo end-to-end to lock voice + cross-ref
surfaces (§4, §7, §9, §11, §12, top-of-file OHM note); (2) agree the
consequential analytical choices up front (careful checkpoints); (3) draft the
full section in the doc's voice, renumber, fix cross-refs, update the backlog;
(4) whole-document review, iterate.
## Pre-session state
- Clean, pushed `main` at 69af932 (PR #6 — backlog trim). Branch
`claude/adoring-wescoff-a2fa74` cut for this session, run inside a
harness-managed git worktree (`.claude/worktrees/adoring-wescoff-a2fa74`).
- One live concurrent same-app session surfaced at claim
(`SESSION-0027.0 --INPROGRESS`, 2026-06-11) — judged non-overlapping with a
strategy-memo doc edit, and we were already worktree-isolated; noted, proceeded.
- `docs/maker-platform-strategy.md` was deep on §1–§11 architecture/legal,
with a §12 backlog of 4 items (#2 = sustainability economics, the recommended
next). No numbers anywhere in the doc; §9 decision gates all qualitative.
## Turn-by-turn arc
1. **Session gate / routing.** Classified the `/goal` as ambiguous against the
five session types (strategy-memo authoring fits none cleanly); asked the
operator → **brainstorming**. Invoked `wgl-brainstorming`; claimed session
**0038** (`--type brainstorming`, careful posture stamped). Recorded the
anchor as the doc's own §12 #2 (no tracker issue; spec-submission N/A).
2. **Read the whole memo** (602 lines) to lock voice + the cross-ref surfaces:
§4 single-point-of-failure, §7 "How the platform gets paid" / "Entity
structure" / "Storefront architecture" (the order-history asset already
names "the network-health metrics (§12 #2)" as a use), §9 qualitative gates,
§11 UBIT flag.
3. **Up-front checkpoint (careful).** Asked two consequential analytical
choices: North Star metric, and unit-economics anchor. Operator chose
**North Star = % of GMV cross-maker-referred** and **parametric only** (no
invented dollar values — matches the memo's anti-false-precision voice).
4. **Drafted the full §12** in one pass: "non-profit ≠ needn't cover costs"
(vs §7/§11 UBIT band) · parametric unit economics (`N* ≈ F/(mv)`,
fixed-cost-coverage not margin) · health metrics (North Star + leading
indicators mapped onto §9 gates, computed from the §7 order-history asset,
with a Goodhart caution) · volunteer-sustainability reliability-floor
economics · a through-line. Inserted as §12 before the backlog; backlog →
§13 with its remaining items renumbered; fixed cross-refs (§7's "(§12 #2)" →
"(§12)", §10's "(§12 #3)" → "(§13 #2)", §7's "(§12 #4)" → "(§13 #3)"); added
a §9 → §12 forward-ref. Committed + pushed; handed over the rendered doc URL.
5. **Whole-document review round 1.** Operator added a substantive design
element: a **Partner Network compensation model** (partner helps a maker
stand up + onboard, earns a tapering share of the maker's *earned* referral
income, with negotiation tooling). Placed the mechanism in §7's "Partner /
consultant network" subsection + an economic note in §12 (out-of-flow,
principal-on-both-sides, fourth consumer of the Phase-2 cashable rail,
stateful-tier ledger per Appendix C.5, curation-integrity guardrail).
Committed + pushed.
6. **Review round 2.** Operator: give the partner network its **own subsection**
and note that **upfront cash / payment terms / any other agreement stay OFF
the network** (custody is the line). Promoted it to a dedicated §7 subsection
and added the off-network-cash rule. Committed + pushed.
7. **Review round 3.** Operator dismissed the approve/revise question ("wait for
next instruction"); then asked for a **revenue-range-by-maker-band**
breakdown for the formula. Produced an illustrative table in chat (assumptions
stated; break-even ~150300 makers, well past the dozen-maker §9 gate).
8. **finalize-on-goal Stop hook** fired (goal met, session open). Careful
posture → surfaced the finalize/keep-going offer and waited.
9. **Operator: "commit, push, and finalize."** Read "commit" as the go-ahead to
fold the illustrative table into §12 (explicitly labelled illustrative —
reverses the earlier parametric-only call, on the operator's instruction);
committed + pushed.
10. **Finalize (careful).** Surveyed git/PR; presented the single wrap-up plan +
artifact-guard note (no `specs/` Solution Design — the memo edit IS the
artifact); operator chose **self-merge**. Opened Gitea **PR #7**, merged it
(merge-commit, branch deleted server-side). Worktree teardown = no-op
(harness-managed worktree, not a Step-6b one). Updated memory; drafted the
next `/goal`; published this transcript.
## Cut state (end of session)
- **Merged to `main` via [PR #7](https://git.wiggleverse.org/wiggleverse/wiggleverse-ecomm-content/pulls/7)** (4 commits, merge-commit `3f0cfcc`). Remote
branch `claude/adoring-wescoff-a2fa74` deleted on merge.
- `docs/maker-platform-strategy.md` now carries **§12 Sustainability economics &
health metrics** (new), a new **§7 "Partner / consultant network"** subsection,
and the backlog renumbered to **§13** (3 items: demand strategy, governance,
hybrid-makers line). All §12/§13 cross-refs reconciled.
- Ran in a **harness-managed worktree**; `ExitWorktree` was a no-op (this session
didn't create it via `EnterWorktree`). Worktree + the now-merged local branch
left for the harness to reclaim — not force-removed (can't remove own CWD).
- No spec/plan artifact submitted (correct for a strategy-memo edit). No BDDs.
## Deferred decisions
_None — no low-confidence autonomous calls this session. The two consequential
analytical choices (North Star, parametric vs. numeric) were operator-decided at
the up-front checkpoint; the later reversal to add an illustrative table was an
explicit operator instruction._
## What lands on the operator's plate
- Nothing blocking. §12 + the §7 partner subsection are merged and live on `main`.
- Open threads in the doc (now §13 backlog): **#1 demand strategy** (the
unvalidated keystone — recommended next), #2 governance, #3 hybrid-makers
making/reselling standard. The §10 OHM-guided reputation **engine** remains the
other live open thread.
- The §12 revenue table is **illustrative, not validated** — its assumptions
(per-maker GMV, referred share, tier mix, reliability floor `F`) are exactly
what §8 discovery / the first dozen makers must populate.
## Prompt the operator can paste into the next session
```
/goal Flesh out §13 backlog item #1 — demand strategy / buyer-side go-to-market
(the unvalidated keystone) — into a full section of docs/maker-platform-strategy.md,
in the doc's voice (strategic memo, OHM-grounded per the top-of-file note). Cover:
a crisp buyer-side value proposition stated as its own thing; a first-100 /
first-1,000-buyers plan; a content/community/SEO posture for the buyer side; and a
§8 extension that tests buyer demand, not just supply. Then renumber/cross-ref and
update the §13 backlog. (The §10 OHM reputation engine is the other live thread.)
