> App: engineering
> Date: 2026-06-11, 08:5509:08 PST
> Type: planning-and-executing
> Claude-Session: 2870e912-98db-4f6c-b95c-02ccf86b32b8
> Goal: Execute engineering#43 — amend handbook §9/§10 with the Phase-1 rollout story, reconciling §6.5/§10.5 and syncing the tier-1 digest, per the issue's acceptance list.
> Outcome: **Shipped.** PR #52 merged to `main` (d1c38eb); #43 closed with acceptance mapping; plan archived (446b31a).
## Launch prompt
```
/goal Execute engineering#43 — amend handbook §9/§10 with the Phase-1 rollout story (continuous autonomous PPE + release tag per deploy, human-only prod promotion, fix-forward, done-vs-shipped), reconciling §6.5/§10.5 and syncing the tier-1 digest, per the issue's acceptance list
```
## Plan
> Anchor: #43 (wiggleverse/engineering, `type/story` `priority/P1` — ELIGIBLE R2b)
> Plan doc: `plans/2026-06-11-phase1-rollout-handbook.md` (archived to the content target at finalize; authored in worktree branch `worktree-issue-43-phase1-rollout`, merged as `issue-43-phase1-rollout-story`)
1. Add **§9.1 "The Phase-1 rollout: continuous PPE, human-gated prod"** to handbook `README.md` (+ ToC entry): continuous autonomous PPE, release tag per PPE deploy (`release/<YYYY-MM-DDTHH-MM>`), human-only prod promotion of a validated tag, fix-forward (no revert on `main`), done-vs-shipped.
2. Reconcile §9 pipeline bullets ("prod." + "Forward-only fixes") to cite §9.1.
3. Reconcile §6.5: autonomous "deploy" ends at PPE; prod promotion is the operator's gate.
4. Reconcile §10.5: rollback is prod-traffic-only (weight→0 on a promoted tag); PPE failures fix forward.
5. Sync tier-1 digest `agent-context.md` (`autonomous-by-default`, `ppe-before-prod`, §9 digest paragraph).
6. Verify cross-references, PR → merge, close #43, finalize.
## Pre-session state
- `main` clean and even with `origin/main` at 5c2617d (PR #51 merge — solution-design authoring docs).
- engineering#43 open (`type/story`, P1), filed by capture session 0019 (2026-06-10) with a full acceptance list; memory resume pointer named it as the next `/goal`.
- Three live concurrent engineering sessions in flight at claim time (0009, 0017, 0018) — none overlapping this work surface (handbook §9/§10).
- Plugin cache lag noticed at SessionStart: running v0.48.0, v0.50.0 shipped.
## Turn-by-turn arc
1. **Init.** Classified as planning-and-executing; claimed session 0020 (atomic push e2e38ea). Dry-run peek surfaced the three live sessions → per the §5.4/Step-6b mandate, isolated in a native worktree (`.claude/worktrees/issue-43-phase1-rollout`, branch `worktree-issue-43-phase1-rollout`). Baseline verified clean. Anchor gate: #43`ELIGIBLE: type/story (R2b)`.
2. **Plan.** Fetched #43 from Gitea; read handbook §6.5/§9/§10 whole. Wrote the just-in-time plan (superpowers:writing-plans) with full replacement prose inline; self-reviewed against the acceptance list — all six acceptance bullets mapped. Seeded the transcript `## Plan` block; checkpointed.
3. **Execute** (superpowers:executing-plans, inline — see Deferred decisions):
- 2c7c8ea — §9.1 subsection added + ToC entry.
- 869e905 — §9 "prod." bullet names human-only promotion of a validated tag; forward-only-fixes bullet carries PPE fix-forward.
- cb56fed — §6.5 stop-line: autonomous "deploy" runs the pipeline through PPE; prod promotion is the operator's single human gate.
- 3b0f60f — §10.5 scoped: both signals govern prod traffic on an already-promoted tag; PPE failures never reach the rollback machinery.
- a39ec22 — tier-1 digest synced (`autonomous-by-default` deploy-through-PPE-only qualifier; `ppe-before-prod` Phase-1 split appended; §9 digest paragraph) + plan doc committed.
4. **Verify.** Grep cross-reference checks: §9.1 cited from §6.5, §9 bullets, §10.5, and the digest; tag convention `release/<YYYY-MM-DDTHH-MM>` identical in both files; amended §9 region re-read whole — no contradiction with §10.6 ("not yet built") or §8.5.
5. **Ship.** Pushed as `issue-43-phase1-rollout-story`; PR #52 created via Gitea API and merged (merge commit d1c38eb, branch deleted). #43 auto-closed by the PR's `Closes #43`; posted acceptance-mapping comment (id 1576). Canonical checkout fast-forwarded so the live `~/.claude/wiggleverse.md` digest serves the amended text immediately. Memory updated (`project_phase1_rollout.md` + `MEMORY.md` line). Checkpoint published (d87aa52).
6. **Finalize.** Plan archived via `submit-plan.sh``plans/2026-06-11-phase1-rollout-handbook.md` on `main` (446b31a). Pipeline status: meta/docs change, no deployable app surface — no §9 stage to run; the handbook ships by merge. Worktree torn down (HEAD verified ancestor of `origin/main` before removal). Plugin pin updated v0.48.0 → v0.50.0 (new sessions only). Transcript finalized and published (this file).

Tree clean, `main` even with `origin/main` at 446b31a. Nothing in flight from this session.
## Deferred decisions
- **Tag convention stated as policy:** annotated tag `release/<YYYY-MM-DDTHH-MM>` (PST, minute precision — the session-transcript clock convention) on the exact ref deployed to PPE; the deploy gesture stamps it (the session by hand today, flotilla once the automation lands). The issue left naming + stamper open ("can be stated as policy now"); picked the convention that reuses the org's existing timestamp idiom rather than semver, since Phase-1 tags name *deploys*, not versioned releases. Operator may want semver or an app-scoped prefix instead.
- **Inline execution (executing-plans) over subagent-driven:** small single-file-pair docs amendment; per-task subagents would add overhead without review value.
## What lands on the operator's plate
- **React to the tag convention if desired** — `release/<YYYY-MM-DDTHH-MM>` is now handbook policy (§9.1); flag if semver or an app-scoped prefix is preferred before any flotilla automation hardens it.
- **Restart or `/clear`** to load plugin v0.50.0 (this session ran v0.48.0).
- Sessions 0009 / 0017 / 0018 remain `--INPROGRESS` (not this session's to adopt — they were live at claim time).
## Prompt the operator can paste into the next session
```
/goal Brainstorm engineering#44 — Solution Design for the two-tier E2E gate machinery (hermetic local harness per merge + same suite on PPE per deploy), handbook §10.3 as primary input
```
