# Session 0007.0 — Transcript

## Goal / Outcome
|
|
|
|
Turn the operator's standing concern — the self-hosted Gitea forge has no backups
|
|
— into a well-formed, typed, source-linked Gitea issue. **Outcome:** filed **#30**
|
|
(`type/feature`, `priority/P1`) on `wiggleverse/engineering`; reconciled two
|
|
leftover drafts that turned out to be already filed; filed two pieces of plugin
|
|
feedback (#76, #80).
|
|
|
|
## Plan
|
|
|
|
1. Classify the opening prompt → **capture** session; claim tracked-lite transcript 0007.
|
|
2. Resolve target app (`engineering`) + content repo; check for resumable drafts.
|
|
3. Assemble context (self-originated, BUC-3), size the ask, draft section by section.
|
|
4. File on approval; disposition leftover drafts; finalize (tracked-lite, no artifact).
|
|
|
|
## Pre-session state
|
|
|
|
- Branch `docs/solution-design-pain-points-business-framing`, `M app.json` already
|
|
dirty (operator's pre-existing docs work — untouched all session).
|
|
- `issues/` held two leftover drafts from a prior session:
|
|
`observability-baseline.md`, `engineering-practice-uplift.md` (no filed-marker).
|
|
|
|
## Turn-by-turn arc
|
|
|
|
1. **Gate + claim.** Classified `capture:` prompt as a capture session (≥90%),
|
|
invoked `wgl-capture`, claimed session **0007** (no concurrent sessions).
|
|
2. **Resolve + scan.** Resolved app `engineering`; content repo = same repo.
|
|
`list-unfiled-drafts.sh` flagged the two leftover drafts as "unfiled" — noted
|
|
as unrelated topics, deferred their disposition.
|
|
3. **Size the ask.** Reflected understanding (Gitea = single source of truth for
|
|
all repos + tracker DB, one self-hosted host, no backup). Asked the operator:
|
|
sized as **one Feature**; durability target **GCS off-site**.
|
|
4. **Draft v1.** Authored `issues/gitea-regular-backups.md` with value-first
|
|
framing (present daily risk, not "we don't have backups yet").
|
|
5. **Operator correction (key turn).** Operator: business sections must be
|
|
business-only; GCS / `gitea dump` / GCE VM / the Decomposition→slices checklist
|
|
are all *solution* and belong under **Solution notes** only — Epics/Features are
|
|
business-value-only, while Tasks/Stories/Bugs may be implementation-specific.
|
|

|
|
6. **Draft v2.** Stripped all solution detail out of the business sections (e.g.
|
|
Acceptance now "stored durably off the source host", not "lands in a GCS
|
|
bucket"); moved GCS/`gitea dump`/systemd/flotilla + slicing to Solution notes
|
|
as non-binding hints; removed the Decomposition section.
|
|
7. **Approve + file.** Operator approved; ensured labels (created `type/bug`),
|
|
filed **#30**. Operator: "don't keep markdown copies — they're in Gitea" →
|
|
discarded the filed draft. → **Filed plugin feedback #80** (discard-after-file
|
|
default; reconsider publish step; detector-drift).
|
|
8. **Leftover drafts.** Operator chose "file them now" — but a tracker check showed
|
|
both were **already filed** (#25 observability, #26 uplift); titles + internal
|
|
`#25` reference matched. Surfaced the contradiction (filing would duplicate);
|
|
operator chose **discard both**. `issues/` now empty.
|
|
9. **Finalize.** Survey clean; deferred-decisions empty; nothing parked.
|
|
|
|
## Cut state (end of session)
|
|
|
|
- **Filed:** `wiggleverse/engineering#30` — *Automated, restorable backups of the
|
|
Gitea forge* (`type/feature`, `priority/P1`).
|
|
- **Plugin feedback:** `wiggleverse-dev-claude-plugin#76`, `#80`.

- **Drafts:** all dispositioned — `gitea-regular-backups.md` discarded post-file;
|
|
`observability-baseline.md` / `engineering-practice-uplift.md` discarded as

already-filed (#25/#26). `issues/` empty.

- **Repo:** no commits made by this session. `M app.json` still dirty (pre-existing
|
|
operator work, deliberately untouched). Branch unchanged.

- **Deferred decisions:** none (every judgment call was operator-confirmed).

- `M app.json` remains uncommitted — your own in-progress docs work, left as-is.

- #30 is captured but unprioritized/unbuilt — next move is a brainstorming/spec
