## Plan
> Anchor: none (strategy-memo edit; not roadmap/spec-anchored). Routed as a
> tracked **brainstorming** session at the operator's instruction even though
> the deliverable is a `docs/` memo edit, not a `specs/` Solution Design — so
> the brainstorming artifact guard resolves to "no spec, confirmed intentional."
Intent: graduate two operational gaps of `docs/maker-platform-strategy.md` from
the §10 backlog into full body sections, in the memo's voice, OHM-grounded.
## Session arc
1. **Session gate.** Classified the docs-authoring task; it didn't map cleanly to
the five types. Asked the operator → **Brainstorming (tracked)**. Invoked
`wgl-brainstorming`; claimed **session 0037** (`--type brainstorming`, careful
posture). A stale 4-day `--INPROGRESS` (0027) was noted; already in an isolated
worktree, so no concurrency hazard.
2. **§11 Legal & compliance (written).** Read the full memo. Wrote §11 with the
through-line *the out-of-money-flow stance IS the legal strategy* (one
architectural choice → no MTL, no marketplace-facilitator duty, no MoR), the
"flag and verify — not legal advice" convention, and OHM grounding. Subsections:
MTL recap; marketplace-facilitator sales tax (two-part conjunctive test;
referral handoff fails prong 2 via the advertising-only exclusion; the fragile
"indirectly collects" edge; Phase-3 / split-payment-kit / Connect danger zones;
tax-calc belongs to the storefront); Connect-config-as-posture (cross-ref §7);
raffle/lottery (engineer out *consideration*); FTC (affiliate disclosure, 30-day
pre-order rule, handmade substantiation); privacy + DPAs; FTO/patent;
restored novelty finding; entity/UBIT.
3. **Worktree-edit guard.** First Edit hit the canonical checkout; re-issued all
edits against the worktree path. Confirmed worktree == canonical content first.
4. **Structure + cross-refs.** Inserted §10 (initially a *reserved stub*) + §11
before the backlog; renumbered backlog §10 → §12 (item numbers held stable);
#3 → §11 pointer, #1 → §10 pointer; fixed stale §7 / top-of-file refs.
5. **§10 scope decision.** Asked whether §10 should stay a reserved stub or be
fleshed out now → operator chose **flesh out now**. Wrote the full §10 (Trust &
safety & maker accountability): originating edge; reputation flows up the edge
(decayed, hop-capped); consequence = loss of standing not expulsion; authority &
appeal; and a "Still open" subsection gathering the OHM-guided reputation engine
+ revocation/dispute/collusion frameworks. Reduced backlog #1 to a pointer;
re-pointed refs.
6. **Backlog cleanup (operator-requested).** Removed completed items (#1→§10,
#3→§11), renumbered to six.
7. **Finalize begun.** brainstorming/careful. Artifact guard → operator confirmed
no spec (docs edit only). Merge path → Gitea PR. Created + merged
**PR #5**; branch deleted.
8. **Operator interrupt mid-finalize.** New asks: (a) drop MVP-scope/roadmap &
data-model from the backlog — "strategic memo, not a roadmap/rollout doc"; (b) a
next-session prompt for sustainability economics & health metrics. Made the edit
on a follow-up branch (backlog → 4 items, recorded the scope exclusion, fixed
refs); created + merged **PR #6**; branch deleted.
9. **Finalize completed.** Memory written (new project memory dir + note + index);
deferred decisions none; backlog is the in-doc queue (nothing parked as issues);
next-`/goal` = sustainability economics; worktree left intact (ambient launch
env, not session-created); transcript published.
## What landed on `main`
- **PR #5** — new §10 (Trust & safety & maker accountability) + §11 (Legal &
compliance), backlog renumbered §10 → §12, cross-refs fixed.
- **PR #6** — §12 backlog trimmed to 4 items (demand, sustainability/metrics,
governance, hybrid-makers standard); MVP scope / build roadmap / data-model
dropped as out-of-scope for a strategic memo; refs re-pointed.
## Deferred decisions
_None — no autonomous low-confidence calls. The two judgment forks (§10 stub vs.
flesh-out; merge path) were both put to the operator via AskUserQuestion._
## Next /goal
```
Flesh out backlog item #2 of the maker platform strategy — sustainability
economics & health metrics — into a full section of
docs/maker-platform-strategy.md, in the doc's voice (strategic memo, not a
rollout doc; OHM-grounded per the top-of-file note). Cover unit economics
(referral take + subscription vs. network-service + verification + hosting at
N makers / X GMV; break-even), non-profit-≠-needn't-cover-costs (tie to §7 and
the §11 UBIT flag), network-health/liquidity metrics (North Star + % GMV
cross-maker-referred, follower growth, drop sell-through, repeat-buyer rate;
tie to §9 gates and the §7 cross-merchant order-history asset), and
volunteer-sustainability economics (keep the critical core off bus-factor-one).
```
Other live open thread: §10's OHM-guided reputation engine.
