## Launch prompt
```
Let's brainstorm the solution design for #78 — canonical issue-type taxonomy definition (the unblocker of Epic #77; promote the proposals/capture-phase RFC §4 sizing test to canonical handbook practice), then #79 (validation automation, blocked by #78)
```
## Pre-state
- Repo `wiggleverse-dev-claude-plugin` on `main` (origin/main @ e2e031a / 0.42.0 at
claim; advanced to 0.44.0 under concurrent sessions by finalize). Session loaded
plugin **0.37.0** (cache lag, ~7 versions behind — flagged at start).
- Claim-peek showed **three live concurrent sessions** (0035/0048/0053) → mandatory
worktree isolation.
- Anchors: Epic **#77** ⊃ Feature **#78** (taxonomy definition) → Feature **#79**
(validation). #78 R1-eligible (type/feature). Source material: the Capture RFC §4
sizing test on the *unmerged* `engineering` branch `proposals/capture-phase`
(4 types); `wgl-capture` Step 4 + #64 already use 5 (adds `type/bug`).
## The arc
1. **Gate + claim.** SessionStart gate classified the prompt as **brainstorming**
(≥90%) → `wgl-brainstorming`. Claimed session **0054** (`--type brainstorming`).
Set up the mandatory isolated worktree `wiggleverse-dev-claude-plugin-session-0054`
(branch `session-0054`, off origin/main) — the canonical checkout was on a dirty
concurrent-session branch, so isolation was doubly right.
2. **Orient.** Read issues #77/#78/#79; ran the R1 eligibility gate (#78 ELIGIBLE).
Extracted the RFC §4.1 sizing test verbatim (Explore agent), the #64 design
(`specs/2026-06-10-issue-type-design-gates-design.md`), the solution-design
TEMPLATE/GUIDE, and the handbook structure. **Key finding:** the #64 spec's §4.4
prescribed a handbook subsection ("Required up-front design scales with issue
type") that was **never written** — so capture/#64's "canonical in the handbook"
pointers were dangling.
3. **Two framing decisions (AskUserQuestion).** D1: right-sized **non-software**
Solution Design (operational plan replaces §§37). D2: **co-locate** the taxonomy
with the missing #64 gate in one handbook §4.3.
4. **Authored §1 (Business Context)** section-by-section, committed to the session
branch, rendered URL for review.
5. **Detour — the content-repo split.** Operator: *"specs should always be in
`*-content`. Move the specs dir over there and update the wgl brainstorming
skill."* Investigated: `app.json` declared the plugin as its **own** content repo
(no `*-content` existed). Asked scope (AskUserQuestion) → **split out a content
repo**. Operator created `wiggleverse-dev-claude-plugin-content`. I: migrated
`specs/` + `plans/` into it (the whole `content` role); rewired `app.json`
(content+spec-rfc → new repo; plugin keeps code/documentation/bdd); updated
`wgl-brainstorming` to author specs in the content repo; `git rm`'d the
collections; bumped 0.42.0→**0.43.0**; lint-clean; **PR #94 merged**. Verified
`resolve-app.py` now points CONTENT_*/SPEC_RFC_* at the new repo.
6. **Resumed #78** in the content repo: re-homed §1, then authored **§2 Solution
Proposal**, **§37 Operational Plan** (the §4.3 content: 5 types, sizing cascade,
co-located #64 gate, worked boundary examples, consumer re-pointing table, RFC
disposition, sequencing), **§810**.
7. **UI Design gate (R4), iterated with the operator:**
- Operator: incorporate UI Design — a UI-bearing Solution Design requires a UI
Design before plan/implement. Added R4 (gate-rule-only; mechanics deferred).
- Operator: it applies to **any issue type** when UI changes exceed the **design
system** → implementation blocked. Generalized R4 (decoupled from
Feature/Solution-Design; trigger = "beyond the design system").
- Operator: the design system **exists**, placement handled in a parallel session
→ recorded as D7 (referenced, not defined here).
- Operator proposed enforcement = **abort implementation planning** when UI
surfaces with no UI Design and the design system is insufficient → adopted as
**D8** (planning-time abort-with-override, same shape as #64/D3).
8. **Approve + merge + lock.** Marked the spec **approved / v1.0.0**, opened+merged
**content PR #1** (session-0054 → main). Locked Q1 placement → **§4.3** (D9) via
**content PR #2**.
## Outcomes (what landed)
- **NEW content repo** `wiggleverse/wiggleverse-dev-claude-plugin-content` holding
the app's `specs/` + `plans/` collections.
- **Plugin PR #94 → 0.43.0**: the specs-split refactor (app.json rewire,
`wgl-brainstorming` clarification, collections removed).
- **#78 Solution Design GRADUATED** (content repo, v1.0.1; content PRs #1+#2;
`submit-spec.sh --status graduated` stamped the frontmatter at finalize).
- **Filed #98** (`type/feature`) — the Q2 follow-up: UI Design artifact + R4
enforcement build.
- **Plugin pin made live 0.37.0 → 0.44.0** via `update-plugin.sh`.
## Deferred decisions
None — every substantive call (D1D9) was made with the operator live via
AskUserQuestion or explicit direction.
## Decisions log (carried in the spec §9)
D1 non-software shape · D2 co-locate taxonomy + #64 gate · D3 reword #64 INV-6 /
mark §4.4 fulfilled · D4 UI Design gate-rule-only · D5 leave the RFC, add a
supersession note · D6 R4 applies to any type, trigger = beyond the design system ·
D7 design system exists (placement = parallel work) · D8 R4 enforced as a
planning-time abort-with-override · D9 placement = handbook §4.3.
## Cut state
- `main` (plugin) @ 0.44.0; content repo `main` @ 2d62b81 (graduated #78 spec).
- Session worktree `session-0054` (plugin) torn down; local stale branches deleted.
- Open follow-ups on the tracker: **#78** (design done; §4.3 implementation is a
downstream planning session), **#98** (UI Design + R4 build), **#79** (next).
- Untracked `docs/superpowers/specs/2026-06-09-wgl-capture-mvp-design.pdf` left in
the plugin tree (predates this session; not mine).
## Next-session prompt
```
/goal Explore #79 (validate type/* vs the work shape at create & triage) and write its Solution-Design spec — the validation half of Epic #77, unblocked by #78
```
The enforcement seam (webhook / inert Gitea Action / LLM-judge / capture-side
self-check) is the central decision; #78's handbook §4.3 is the canonical
definition #79 validates against. Authored in the content repo per the 0054 split.
