# Session 0066.0 — Transcript

||
## Pre-session state
|
||
|
||
- Plugin `main` clean at 75ac458 (0.51.0 shipped by 0064); running session
|
||
loaded the **stale 0.48.0 cache** (cache-lag notice fired at start).
|
||
- Issue #83: `type/feature`, `triaged:accepted` (0056), design-gated per §4.3
|
||
R3; triage comment named a brainstorming session as the next step. No
|
||
posture spec existed in the content repo.
|
||
- Concurrent sessions: 0035/0048/0058 placeholders (stale-looking) **plus 0065
|
||
live** (started 11:52 same day; held the content repo's canonical checkout
|
||
on branch `session-0065`, designing #102).
|
||
- Memory's stored next-goal was `brainstorm #102` — the operator's explicit
|
||
`/goal #83` won; #102 stayed with 0065.
|
||
|
||
## Turn-by-turn arc
|
||
|
||
1. **Gate + routing.** Fetched #83 from the tracker; classified the session as
|
||
brainstorming (feature, design-gated, triage comment explicit). Invoked
|
||
`wgl-brainstorming`.
|
||
2. **Init (Steps 1–7).** Claimed **0066** (`--type brainstorming`,
|
||
start 12-39); seeded the Plan block + anchor; baseline clean; **mandatory
|
||
worktree isolation** (0065 live): plugin repo via native worktree
|
||
(`worktree-session-0066`), content repo via a manual worktree on branch
|
||
`session-0066` placed at `~/.config/superpowers/worktrees/…` (the canonical
|
||
content checkout was on 0065's branch — committing a `.worktrees/`
|
||
gitignore there was not an option). Checkpointed the placeholder.
|
||
3. **Eligibility (Step 8.5).** `check-issue-eligibility.sh --for
|
||
solution-design` → ELIGIBLE (R1, non-epic).
|
||
4. **Inputs.** Session gate posture block, `wgl-session-mode`, the 2026-06-04
|
||
yolo-by-default design, handbook §6.5, finalize-core + submit-spec status
|
||
defaults, `wgl-capture` INV-7, house spec conventions (the merged #64
|
||
design), `claim-session-id.sh --type` plumbing.
|
||
5. **Authoring loop.** Drafted the spec section-by-section, each committed and
|
||
pushed to content branch `session-0066` with a rendered Gitea URL, each
|
||
held for operator review: §1 Business context (PP-1…PP-5) → §2 Solution
|
||
proposal (per-type defaults table; `> Posture:` stamp; `/goal`
|
||
hold-the-boundary rule) → §3 Decisions D1–D8 → §4 Architecture (the
|
||
type→posture map living in `claim-session-id.sh`; gate/init/finalize
|
||
wiring; files-touched) → §5 Invariants INV-1–7 → §6 Delivery plan (3
|
||
slices + DoD) + §7 Open questions OQ-1…OQ-5. **Every boundary was held
|
||
with a blocking AskUserQuestion under the live `/goal #83` Stop hook** —
|
||
the hook blocked a plain turn-end at the first boundary; the
|
||
AskUserQuestion hold satisfied it while keeping review intact (this became
|
||
D5/§2.3's empirical validation). Operator approved each section unchanged.
|
||
6. **Whole-document review.** Operator chose **finalize with `--status
|
||
proposed`** (the careful default the design itself prescribes) over
|
||
explicit graduation.
|
||
7. **Finalize.** Content PR #3 (session-0066 → main) merged;
|
||
`submit-spec.sh --status proposed` stamped in place (`f0f4390`); #83
|
||
commented with the spec link + next step (comment 1600). **Staleness
|
||
caught during memory update:** this session ran the 0.48.0 cached skill's
|
||
per-section loop, but 0.50.0 (#116, session 0063) had replaced it with
|
||
*agree-up-front → draft-whole → review-whole* + a named session-wide
|
||
override — the spec cited the superseded convention. Operator approved an
|
||
immediate **v0.1.1 amendment** (pushed to content main, `04f3a48`):
|
||
re-cited the #116 conventions, reframed §4.3's Step-9 change as subsuming
|
||
#116's named override (the prose layer #83 makes structural), kept the
|
||
validation evidence with an honest note that this session ran the
|
||
superseded loop. Worktrees torn down post-merge (plugin worktree removed;
|
||
content worktree + merged branch deleted). `update-plugin.sh` confirmed
|
||
the pin already LIVE at 0.51.0. Memory + MEMORY.md updated.
|
||
|
||
## Deferred decisions
|
||
|
||
- **Content-repo worktree location:** placed at the global
|
||
`~/.config/superpowers/worktrees/<repo>/session-0066` instead of the
|
||
worktree skill's default project-local `.worktrees/` — the default requires
|
||
committing a `.gitignore`, and the content repo's checkout was on live
|
||
session 0065's branch (not mine to commit to). Alternative not taken:
|
||
committing the ignore to 0065's branch or to main mid-session.
|
||
- **PR merge method:** content PR #3 merged with a merge commit (Gitea
|
||
default, matching the repo's existing history) without asking; squash was
|
||
the alternative.
|
||
|
||
## Cut state (end of session)
|
||
|
||
- **#83 design: DONE, status `proposed`** at content
|
||
`specs/2026-06-11-per-type-session-posture-design.md` (v0.1.1). Issue #83
|
||
open, `triaged:accepted`, commented with the link.
|
||
- Content repo: branch merged + deleted; tree clean; canonical checkout left
|
||
untouched on 0065's branch. Plugin repo: untouched (no source change, no
|
||
version bump — design-only session); stray pre-existing
|
||
`docs/superpowers/specs/2026-06-09-wgl-capture-mvp-design.pdf` left as-is.
|
||
- Plugin pin LIVE at 0.51.0 (new sessions load it).
|
||
- Session 0065 still in flight (its #102 design + this memory file's
|
||
next-goal slot will be rewritten by its own finalize — expected).
|
||
- Temp clone `/tmp/wgl-0066-amend-14570` left for the OS to reap (rm denied
|
||
by sandbox).
|
||
|
||
## What lands on the operator's plate
|
||
|
||
1. **Review the proposed #83 design** (rendered:

— approve/graduate it, or send back revisions. R2a gates the
|
||
implementation session on this.

2. The OQ-1…OQ-5 judgment calls in §7 (named-override detection wording,
|
||
the harness-behavior caveat on the AskUserQuestion hold, headless-run
|
||
semantics) are the parts most worth a careful read.
|
||
3. Note the design **deliberately changes nothing** for
|
||
planning-and-executing sessions (INV-7).
