Launch prompt
/wgl-brainstorming https://git.wiggleverse.org/wiggleverse/wiggleverse-dev-claude-plugin/issues/25
Brainstorm + write the Solution-Design spec for issue #25 —
"wgl-capture MVP — signal in session → typed, source-linked Gitea issues"
(Feature under Epic #24 "wgl-capture — the Capture phase skill").
Canonical design: engineering RFC proposals/capture-phase-and-gitea-native-flow.md
(§2.5 Capture · §5 issue template · §6 acceptance · §11.1 wgl-capture).
Outcome
A brainstorming session that produced the reviewed Solution Design for the
wgl-capture MVP (Feature #25, Epic #24) and merged it to main via PR #29
(e2103c6). Spec: docs/superpowers/specs/2026-06-09-wgl-capture-mvp-design.md,
landed at v0.3.0 after two in-session reframes driven by operator review. No
plugin version bump — a brainstorming session ships a spec, not code. The slice
checklist was written onto Feature #25 (the RFC §8.1/§9 required brainstorming
output). No skill was built; that is the downstream wgl-planning-and-executing
work (the slices).
Pre-state
- Source at
main= v0.23.0 (6ed6a23) at session open; a concurrent dev-claude-plugin session 0030 (OHM /ohm-presence-notice, v0.24.0) was running in the same shared checkout and merged PR #28 mid-session. - Stored
Next /goal= Patchwatch rfc-app remediation (parked at a depth call); this session was an explicit-goal interrupt (launched on #25) and did not consume it. - Issue #25 =
type/feature,triaged:accepted,priority/P0; canonical design = the engineering Capture RFC, present only on branchproposals/capture-phase(not engineeringmain).
Turn-by-turn arc (uncurated — includes the reframes and the collision)
- Open + claim. Got start time; read #25 + parent Epic #24 via
gitea-api.sh(issue-scoped token); peeked (claim-session-id.sh --dry-run) — no concurrent in-history placeholders flagged — and claimed session 0029 (--type brainstorming). Read the Capture RFC from commitf03abc4onproposals/capture-phase. Verified clean pushedmainbaseline; seeded the transcript Plan; noted the Patchwatch goal is overridden by this explicit launch. - Explore + clarify (superpowers:brainstorming). Mapped the integration
surface (
claim-session-id.shtypes, finalize Step-0 dispatch, the 4-type session gate,file-feedback.shas the filing analog). Asked 4 design questions → review gate, target tracker, signal intake, WSJF depth. - Spec v0.1.0 — batch model. Wrote the Solution Design as a one-shot "distill
a signal → confirm → file" gesture. Committed + pushed
feat/wgl-capture-mvp-spec, opened PR #29 (initially v0.1.0). Presented for review. - Reframe → v0.2.0 (operator). Operator: capture is an interactive working session, context assembled in-session (external signal optional). Re-asked scope → "assembled in-session, external signal optional" + "needs a rethink". Proposed a draft-state model; operator clarified the model = author each issue in place on the live Gitea issue, section by section, reviewed rendered on Gitea. Rewrote to v0.2.0.
- §5.4 COLLISION (live). While pushing v0.2.0, the concurrent 0030 session had
reset the shared checkout's branch/HEAD: my v0.1.0 commit
2d10ff7was swept intomainvia PR #28's branch, my v0.2.0 reframe got committed ontofeat/ohm-guiding-principlesas5113a47, and the working file reverted to v0.1.0. Recovered: backed up v0.2.0, re-authored on a fresh branchfeat/wgl-capture-specoffmainin an isolated worktree (the §5.4-prescribed move), re-pushed, re-opened the PR cleanly. Nothing lost. - Slice checklist (operator caught a gap). Operator asked what Gitea issues were being created. Answer: only the runtime output issues the skill would create — and I had not emitted the slice checklist onto Feature #25, which the RFC §8.1/§9 makes a required brainstorming output. Fixed: PATCHed #25's Decomposition into a SLICE-1/2/3 (+ deferred SLICE-4) checklist.
- Reframe → v0.3.0 (operator). Operator reconsidered the review surface:
persist sections to a markdown file, reviewed in VS Code, rather than the
live Gitea issue — converging on markdown in the app's content repo (so it's
reviewable both in VS Code and, once published, on rfc.wiggleverse.org).
Settled:
<content>/issues/<slug>.md(anissues/collection alongsidespecs//plans/), target = the app's own content repo, working-tree only (skill never commits/pushes), issue filed from the approved file. Rewrote to v0.3.0 in the worktree, pushed to PR #29. - Approval + merge. Operator approved ("This looks great"). Merged PR #29 to
main(e2103c6), removed the worktree, fast-forwarded localmain. - Finalize. This wrap-up: memory updated, transcript published. Brainstorming
addendum
submit-spec.shno-op'd (plugin has no content role — the spec is recorded in the plugin's owndocs/superpowers/specs/via PR #29 instead).
Cut state (what landed)
main@e2103c6carries the spec at v0.3.0.- Feature #25 carries its slice checklist (SLICE-1 plumbing · SLICE-2 filing layer · SLICE-3 the interactive skill; SLICE-4 resume + the publish step are deferred follow-ups).
- No code/skill built; no version bump (correct for a brainstorming session).
Loose ends / gotchas for next time
- Q2 (live): the plugin's
app.jsonhas no content role → capturing about the plugin itself has nowhere to draft. Give the plugin a content role, or dogfoodwgl-captureagainst an app that already has a content repo. - Q1: intake boundary — dev-provided URL/file/text in, automated recorder discovery out (unconfirmed; my recommendation stands).
- Q3: does
rfc-appneed front-matter inissues/<slug>.mdto render on rfc.wiggleverse.org (publish-time; informs the draft template). - RFC §11.3 unbuilt:
wgl-brainstormingdoes not yet emit the slice checklist onto the Feature issue (had to do it by hand) — worth filing/building. - §5.4 leftover artifacts (operator's to clear — deletes were permission-denied):
stray commit
5113a47on the mergedfeat/ohm-guiding-principles; stale branchfeat/wgl-capture-mvp-spec(=2d10ff7, ⊂ main). Worktree already removed. An untracked…-design.pdf(operator's review export) left in the working tree, not committed.
Deferred decisions
Autonomous-mode low-confidence calls. All substantive design decisions this session were made WITH the operator (AskUserQuestion + dialogue), so the only entry is the recovery improvisation:
- §5.4 concurrent-checkout collision recovery. Chose to recover via an isolated
worktree + a fresh branch (
feat/wgl-capture-spec) offmainand re-open the PR, rather than force-pushing the stale branch (force-push / remote-branch-delete were also permission-denied). Alternative considered: reset the stale branch in place (rejected — risked colliding again with the concurrent session). Left the stray commit / stale branch for the operator to delete.
Next-session prompt
/goal wgl-capture SLICE-1 — tracked-lite capture session plumbing: accept --type capture
in claim-session-id.sh, add a `capture` branch to wgl-session-finalize (publish the
transcript only, no spec/plan submit), and add the 5th type to hooks/session-gate.md,
per docs/superpowers/specs/2026-06-09-wgl-capture-mvp-design.md §7.2 and Feature #25's
slice checklist
SLICE-2 (capture-issues.sh + ensure-capture-labels.sh) is parallelizable;
SLICE-3 (the skill) wants spec Q2 resolved first. The Patchwatch rfc-app
remediation goal remains parked (blocked on a depth call) — switch to it
explicitly if preferred. Read memory/project_dev_claude_plugin.md (the 0029
entry + the Next /goal: / Parked goal: fields) before starting.
